How could I NOT like Kaiju Big Battel DVD? Almost too strange to believe, but it's real -- sorta. Giant Monsters wrestling in a caged arena!!! A humorous low-budget spoof of Japanese Monster Flicks, horrible American translations as 'the style', and parody of wrestling.
Also found Amber Diceless RPG book at a local Berkeley bookshop. Just bought the 10 book compendium The Great Book of Amber : The Complete Amber Chronicles, 1-10 off Amazon for $16. Already 200 pages into this mammoth tome, and it's quite an interesting read.
Also just finished a few books -- Rudy Rucker (Realware) & Terry Pratchett (forget which, have read SO MANY Diskworld books) & Bruce Sterling (Artificial Kid).
All were pretty interesting reads, of varying qualities. I enjoyed emailing Rudy Rucker (he's a prof at SJSU) and Bruce Sterling (he's on the Well) and talking a bit w/them.
